My Order Status

How Do I Know the Status of My Article?

Written by Yuliya Nikitina

The order goes through several stages:

The order process is divided into two primary phases: the Copywriting Phase (if applicable) and the Publishing Phase.
If client didn't order Copywriting services, the order goes straight to the Publishing phase.

Here is a breakdown of all the stages:

Phase 1: Copywriting

This section applies if you have ordered copywriting services.

  1. Fill in the brief: The initial stage where the client provides necessary details and requirements for the text.

    • Sub-loop: Clarify the Brief – The copywriter may go back and forth with the client to resolve any ambiguities.

  2. Reviewing brief: The copywriter analyzes the provided information to ensure they have everything needed to start.

  3. Writing in progress: The actual creation of the content is underway.

  4. Text to approve: The final draft is presented to the client for official sign-off.

    • Sub-loop: Needs Improvement / Waiting for Changes (by Writer) – If the text requires adjustments, it goes back to the Copywriter to make revisions. Then it goes again to Text to approve.

  5. Once the Text is approved by the client, it becomes Draft. The chat with the Copywriter is no longer available. Now the client has a new chat with the Publisher directly and may proceed with the next Stage.

Phase 2: Publishing process

Once the text is ready, the process moves to the publishing stage.
In case the client didn't ordered Copywriting services, this is where the process starts for them.

  1. Draft: The client needs to submit the text and Send it to Publisher.

  2. On review: The publisher checks the content for compliance with their platform's standards.

    • Sub-loop: To Make Changes – If the publisher finds issues, the draft is sent back for corrections.

  3. In progress: The article is being queued or formatted for final publication.

    • Sub-loop: To Make Changes – If the publisher finds issues, the draft is sent back for corrections.

  4. Article to approve: Article is already online. The client performs a final check if the result matches the text submitted and the agreed terms (links, conditions, etc.).

    • Sub-loop: Client may Request Changes / article goes to Waiting for Changes – if they notice errors or want minor edits. The publisher will make all changes needed according to the initial task and/or will reply if the additional changes are possible.
⚠️ Note: Client has 2 business days to Request Changes. If client doesn’t act, the system automatically approves the order. Messaging the publisher in chat alone does not stop this process—only clicking Request Changes does.

  5. Published: The final stage, the order is completedm chat with the Publisher is no longer available.

After Published, client no longer has chat access to the publisher and must contact their manager or PRNEWS.IO support for any edits.

DECLINE

At any stage, a publisher can decline your order if your content cannot be published on their platform.
This may happen if your content cannot be accepted due to their internal publishing policies, or if the publisher agrees to accept the content but you need to reorder a different format or pay extra fee for an additional option.
Details will be included in the notice you receive from the publisher after the initial order is declined.

You will receive an email with a notice of the decline, including details and the decline reason.
Funds are returned to your account balance automatically, and you can place a new order with a different media outlet. You will always be able to see the decline and the refund to your account balance in your Transaction History.

The text moves back into Draft without being tied to a specific media. You can then select another media from the catalog, pay for it, and send this draft there.
