Formats – what you can order via PRNEWS.IO

Learn how formats differ from each other

Written by Tim Sedov

PRNEWS.IO lets you buy placements in several formats:

1. Article

A versatile, longer piece written in a flexible style covering news, features, analysis, or opinion, allowing for creative expression.
You can also know it as an Advertorial (with ad label), Native Advertisement (without), Editorial, or Longread.

2. Press Release

A clear, factual announcement of news, events, or updates, with a specific informational hook in the headline, no creative expressions, and contact details included at the end.

3. Paid News

Similar to a press release, with a specific news hook, but aimed directly at all audiences and allows a more flexible, less formal format while remaining factual and timely.

4. Contributor Post

Written by a guest author, freelancer, or outside expert, not by the website itself. Gives access to quality sites at a good price, but placement, terms, and editorial control may vary since the contributor does not own the site.

5. Mention

Adding your link to an existing article on a publisher’s site, with flexible anchor text. You can suggest an article or leave it to the editor.
⚠️ Special case: Reuters Mention – a newly created TOP 10 listicle with brand-name-only anchors.

6. Listicle

A full article structured as a list (e.g., “Top 10 Companies in X”), featuring multiple companies or products. Ideal for agencies and highly visible in AI-driven search like Google AI and ChatGPT.

7. Interview

A published conversation with a person or expert in a structured Q&A format, presenting insights, opinions, or experiences.
You can order it as a special format or also order as an Article or Contributor Post and negotiate in the Chat with Publisher.

Biography

A detailed account of a person’s life, achievements, and experiences, highlighting background and accomplishments. Can be ordered as an Article or Contributor Post.
