Advertising and promotional activity are integral to the capital market's developmental effort. However, investors are especially susceptible to false or misleading information or deceptive conduct regarding advertising and promotional activity as it is one of the direct channels through which they obtain information about a capital market product or a capital market-related service.

Recognizing the importance of advertising and promotional activity and the risks it may pose to investors, these Policies promote responsible advertising and promotion. They also allow for greater flexibility in conducting such activity, empowering the industry to adapt and innovate while maintaining ethical standards.

An unfair practice that violates our policy:

  1. Messaging can mislead investors with exaggerated, flamboyant, overstated, or overzealous claims.

  2. Attempts to mislead, deceive, or exploit an investor’s vulnerability, including behavioral traits, lack of expertise, experience, or knowledge.

  3. Failure to cater to all investors, including the vulnerable segment, such as the elderly, in advertisements.

  4. Providing outdated or inaccurate information in advertisements.

  5. Presenting advertisements in a way that doesn't identify them as such.

  6. Including testimonials or endorsements in advertisements without disclosing whether the advertisers are compensated.

  7. Making forward-looking or forecast statements in advertisements without a reasonable basis and compliance with relevant requirements.

  8. Failing to inform investors about any relevant warnings, disclaimers, qualifications, or terms and conditions of the advertised product or service.

  9. Investors should not be directed to refer to the disclosure document or any relevant agreement or contract when necessary, and information should not be provided about where the document can be accessed and its issuance date.
